HSF Choir

For many years Holy Spirit Fellowship did not have a choir. We had many people wanting and willing to sing. We had Praise groups and Praise leaders. We had everything but a choir director. People have come and people have gone, but no one felt led to direct our choir. Then came Linda Tarbutton, in need of healing, and lo and behold HSF had a choir director. Linda is finding her healing, and a whip and a chair later, HSF has a choir. Linda, who had been a choir director at another local church, heard something special in the singing of our congregation as we worshiped each week. It was a special sound we produced when we sang together.
We have some naturally talented singers in our church, some that sound polished and professional, and a few that can't even read music. In most churches those with less talent would be asked to attend a Bible Study in lieu of choir practice. The sound that Linda detected required inclusion, not exclusion. Do you perceive a "God thing" working here? She had found a group that actually worshipped with song. When most choirs find a weakness in any section they fill that section with warm bodies to balance the sound. Linda didn't want warm bodies or even warm voices. Her secret sound required warm hearts, and that is exactly what makes up our choir.
There is still one piece missing to this puzzle and that is our accompanist and
fellow singer, Jerry Gideon. Jerry has been a part of HSF since its inception. He has been our worship accompanist, Church Treasurer, friend and mentor. He is an integralpart of our choir and our worship service. He is a good piano player but that is not what makes him special. He plays the way the congregation sings: from his heart. We have discovered, at HSF that everything goes better with God. Come sing with us. Our choir is also willing to go out on the road. If you would like some fresh voices in your church contact Linda with the E-mail link on this page and work out the details.
